FALLOUT 4

So if you’ve been reading my articles, you could guess I’m a big fan of the Fallout series. When Fallout 4 was actually, honestly, no-joke announced, I cried a little.  I have my own personal reservations about the game,  but I’m excited for it all the same. If you haven’t seen the announcement trailer yet, check it out:

Fallout 4 is set in Boston, MA. Some mega-Fallout fans have already discerned where they think Vault 111 is, using some pretty cool data and knowledge of the Fallout universe.

The Institute, based off the Massachusetts Institute of Technology  (MIT), plays a huge role in Fallout 4. It’s rumored there will be two main factions: The Institute and The Railroad. The Railroad was introduced in Fallout 3, and serves as an underground movement for androids (and human slaves) looking to escape their creators at The Institute. Fallout 4 will most likely have a voiced protagonist, a first for the series. Leaked information and the end of the trailer suggest the main player-character will be a voiced male, but other sources say Bethesda ran a casting call for both male and female protagonists. I will be very surprised if a company like Bethesda—who  is known for diverse choices in character creation, and, especially in the wake of GamerGate—chooses to make their main protagonist only a white male. So, I’m crossing my fingers for a kick-ass female voiced lead, much like Jennifer Hale as Commander Shepard in Mass Effect. Fallout 4 will only be available on next-gen consoles and PC.
