ESPN reported on April 1st that the St. Petersburg Bitcoin bowl had reached an agreement with Bitpay to dissolve their contract early and that the Bitcoin bowl was only a one time thing. “The decision to rebrand the event to the St. Petersburg Bowl was a mutual one between both BitPay and ESPN.” Theres no doubt that this bowl game event was a large move on Bitcoins part to get as much promotion it could out of the bowl game. Other bowl game representatives have said they have no reason to think that Bitcoin will not be back as an official sponsor.
