To start, let’s take a look at some recent gaming news:

GLAAD, the LGBTQ media monitoring company, announced their nominees for the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition received a Special Recognition award for the inclusion of many well-written and complex LGBTQ characters, such as Iron Bull, Dorian and Krem. The Special Recognition award is customarily given to a media project that’s exceptional but uncontested.

Origin’s current “On The House” game is an old favorite of mine: Theme Hospital. You can download it for free with the Origin client on PC. Infamous: First Light, the standalone DLC for Infamous starring Abigail Walker is free on the PSN this week, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of the Kings is available to download free for Xbox Gold members until the 31st. hallwayGRIM FANDANGO IS BACK! The Lucas Arts cult-classic is available for pre-order in all its remastered glory. You can pre-order through GOG, Steam, and the PSN. It will be released on January 27th for the PC, PS4, and Vita.

Bethesda announced the release date for The Elder Scrolls Online on consoles and added that ESO will no longer require a monthly fee. The new version— arriving on PC/Mac March 17th and XBox One/PS4 on June 9th—will be called The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited and will contain all updates and additional content.
