Crossy Road is a very simple game that will bring you back to the days of Atari. In many ways it is the modern day version of Frogger, all with a freemium twist.

Crossy Road is a very well made game that has you moving up one hop, jump, slide, or run at a time. Trying to get as far as you can without getting hit by something or falling into the water. You will always see your furthest score on the upper right corner and strewn along the country side are little coins you can pick up. Once you get to 100 coins you can put them in a sort of gum ball vending machine and try to get new characters. Each character you play as seems to have a slight affect on the game, however none of them seem to give you any sort of advantage. You can also get coins by watching videos and with time you get free coins, of course you can always just buy the characters too.

The game is super simple, tap to go forward, swipe to go any other direction, don’t get hit. If you are connected to game center you can feel the joy of seeing your friends scores written on the ground as you jump over them and move beyond them. The graphics are well done and I haven’t seen any issues in game, it seems to be very smooth.
